Hart Mizell
Hart Mizell is a historian, teacher, coach, and author whose work focuses on the people, landscapes, and institutions that shaped rural Georgia and the American South. A lifelong resident of Telfair County, Georgia, he is a graduate of Columbus State University and teaches at Telfair County High School. His work draws on archival research, fieldwork, family history, and community engagement, ranging from the multi-volume History of Telfair County, Georgia to genealogy, sports history, and historical fiction. Volume One: Land Between the Rivers was nominated for a Georgia Author of the Year Award.
