Hart Mizell

Hart Mizell is a historian, teacher, and author whose work focuses on the people, landscapes, and institutions that shaped rural Georgia and the American South. A lifelong resident of Telfair County, Georgia, he is a graduate of Columbus State University and teaches at Telfair County High School. He is the owner and publisher of Pineridge Press, which he founded to help Southern authors and historians bring their work to readers. His work draws on archival research, fieldwork, family history, and community engagement, ranging from the multi-volume History of Telfair County, Georgia to genealogy, sports history, and historical fiction. Volume One: Land Between the Rivers was nominated for a Georgia Author of the Year Award.
